Students in Ms. Marshall’s 1st-grade class are partner reading. Students sit elbow to elbow and knee to knee with their partner and share the book between them so they can see and read. Each student takes a turn reading the book to their partner. Students work well with their partner, especially when stumbling across unfamiliar or tricky words.

Ms. Laursen’s class is loving their new board! It is an interactive tool that helps with rigorous learning, and the students enjoy that it can move down when sitting on the carpet during phonics lessons to make it easier to see and learn.
