4th graders learned about hand washing and eating healthy food from Mrs. Ross, our “PE-Nut Lady.” Mrs. Ross got the kids up and moving in 20-second activities to show them how long hand washing should last. The students made snacks featuring bagels, cream cheese, peppers, and cucumber. It was a fun, engaging lesson!

Mrs. Bennett's class celebrated Pi Day with various centers. Students listened to the Pi Song as they worked. They used cards and dice to play a game using the first ten digits of pi. They used bar graphs to create the first 18 digits by creating a pi skyline. They also learned how to use pi in the area and circumference of circle formulas! Pi Day is observed on March 14 (the 3rd month) since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant figures of π.
