Mrs. Magee's 3rd graders adopted a dairy cow! On 10/17/23, the host farm shared a photo of our new calf! It was named Cookie Crumb, weighed 90 pounds, and was 26 inches tall! Cookie Crumb should gain 1 1/2 to 2 pounds daily and be fully grown in 2 years.
The students are learning about dairy cows and their farms over the next several weeks!
We appreciate the community partnership we have with Discover Dairy.

Students, please register to attend the scheduled college visits.

It was an excellent night for Marlette Cross Country! Lily Lemanski is the GTC East League champ; the boys are runner-up for the GTC East! Turlough Bennett first team, Nino Perna second team, and Caden Meyer, Luke Thomas, and Cameron King, honorable mention, earned league honors on the boys' side. All runners ran tough, and we couldn't be more proud!

Best of luck to our JH team! Go, Red Raiders!

Good luck to our football team tonight!

Thursday's Varsity Football game will be the #alyssastrong game to benefit Alyssa Williams and her family. Alyssa is a Marlette sophomore battling cancer who would instead be cheering on the sidelines as a cheerleader. The cheer team will have cancer awareness button sales, a bake sale, and a basket raffle, with all proceeds going to the Williams family. They will also have donation jars at the entrance and concession stand! Remember to wear your green to the game to show your support! Thank you so much in advance for helping us make this a success for this wonderful family!

Do you know what to do if you are driving on a multi-lane paved road and you see a school bus stopped?

We had a safety meeting this morning, and our bus drivers were given an umbrella from the district in recognition of School Bus Safety Week.
The umbrellas have the quote:
"School Bus Drivers Getting Students There With Care."
We are so fortunate that our drivers are passionate about their work and care for our students. We appreciate all they do to keep our students safe each school day.
From left to right: Tom Schank, mechanic, Debra Silance, Sue Huggett, Melissa Klatzke, Amy Choike, Tammy Dobbelaere, Jim Marshall, Mike Yaros, Justin Marquardt. (Missing: Ceci Chapin)

Good luck to our team today!

Our Lady Raiders have our support. GO TEAMS, GO!

Please pay attention to yellow or red flashing lights on buses. The safety of our children is paramount.

The National Honor Society is looking to help five families with fall clean-up. Please email Mrs. Prill (kayla.prill@marletteschools.org) if you or someone you know lives IN TOWN and needs to have their yard raked before winter.

As an athletic department, we will explore going mainly cashless for ticket sales. We hope that this change will help our events to run more smoothly. However, we do plan to secure community feedback during this change.
This will go into effect this Winter, beginning with JH Girls Basketball. If you have purchased an All-Season pass, that will still be accepted, as with league passes.
Below is the link to our home base for ticket purchase. We will make this process as simplistic as possible. We will also be able to take a credit card at the door.
