Ms. Marshall's class played a new phonics game called "Boom Snap Clap Lap." The game involves students sitting with a partner and trying to be the first to grab the correct digraph card after their teacher says, "Boom, Snap Clap Lap," followed by the sound of a digraph. It is a fun way to practice reading skills while getting some movement in the lesson!

If you have a four-year-old and are new to the area or a seasoned resident, you might be interested to know that Marlette GSRP currently has five openings for its free preschool program. The Book It program is still being used by many teachers at Marlette Elementary to encourage students to read for at least 20 minutes a day. The program has been around for a long time and is remembered by many parents who were once students. Some 4th graders recently earned a personal pan pizza for reaching their reading goal for October, which is a great motivation for them to continue reading and improving their skills.

Congratulations to our Red Raider Pride Ticket winners!
Luke McCready, Ashton Hill, Emilia McIntyre, Gavin Comment, Adrian Hohmann, Ryan Adamczyk, Bradley Meyer, Adalyn Clark, Olive Dean, Evolet Cummings, Parker Hall, Chet Thompson, Keegan Humphery, Kylee Measel, Matthew McIntyre, Jack Klatzke, and Charlie Noble.

Finlee, a 4th grader at Marlette Elementary, knows the importance of using manner words throughout the school. The hard-working cafeteria staff rewarded Finlee for her superb manners with a nifty pass!

Please join us as we celebrate and honor those who have served.

Another season commences! Get your tickets here. Good luck, Red Raiders!

Ms. Melissa proudly recognizes Levi Muxlow and Blake Strickler for going above and beyond daily. Boys, keep up the great work to be positive role models for our younger kiddos. Your attitude and willingness to do the right thing is admirable.
