Marlette Community Schools

On December 16, 2025, Marlette High School brought 35 powerhouse students to compete in a variety of individual and team events at the annual Regional Leadership Competition held at SVSU. With 13 schools attending and over 450 students competing in approximately 70 events, our Marlette stars showed up ready to shine—each student competed in two (2) separate events! Only students who finished in the Top 6 in Individual Events and the Top 2 in a Team Event qualified for the upcoming State Leadership Competition in March 2026.

And WOW, did Marlette deliver! 🌟 At the Awards Ceremony, we took home an INCREDIBLE haul with 28 of 35 students qualifying for the State Leadership Competition! That’s RIGHT—28 students moving forward!

🎓🚔 HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Carter Miller and Arlen Stocker! 🚔🎓

On Friday, December 12th, these two outstanding individuals graduated from the Oakland Community College Police Academy, and they didn’t just graduate—they EXCELLED!

🎯 Arlen Stocker took home the prestigious Marksmanship/Top Gun Award with an incredible score of 198 out of 200 points! That’s the precision and dedication we love to see!

🏁 Carter Miller claimed the Robbie Johnson Top Driver Award with a blazing time of 95.020 seconds—coming within just ONE SECOND of the academy’s record! Talk about speed and skill behind the wheel!

These two are proof that hard work, determination, and excellence go hand in hand. We couldn’t be prouder of their achievements and can’t wait to see the incredible impact they’ll make in their law enforcement careers!
