“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.' To this day, especially in times of 'disaster', I remember my mother's words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers - so many caring people in this world." - Fred Rogers

Starting March 20, each Friday and Monday during the shutdown, we will have breakfast and lunch available for ALL students. On Fridays, we will supply 3 days of meals and on Mondays we will provide 4 days of meals. All meals will meet the state requirements for reimbursable meals. All meals will be either shelf stable or will need refrigeration, so no cooking is needed. Food can be picked up 11:30-12:30 at the high school or can be delivered. We will be asking bus drivers to deliver meals on Fridays and Mondays. For Friday, March 20th, we will run all routes. Be sure you're on the list for meals- http://bit.ly/mcsmeals

School will be closed Friday, March 13th in light of Governor Whitmer’s press conference just minutes ago.
While she has ordered schools to be closed from March 16th - April 5th, Sanilac County schools will use tomorrow to make collective plans as a county and as individual districts.
We will continue to keep our families informed as more details are determined.
Thank you for your understanding.

COVID-19 Update

We hope Spring is here! Mrs. Rich’s class enjoyed decorating with the residents at Hannah Wolfe. The students made some cheery, spring rainbows. Congratulations to Mrs. Rich’s fourth graders for once again returning 75% of their reading calendars! #MarchIsReadingMonth

It's Workforce Wednesday at Marlette Elementary School. It was great to have Officer Sanchez (Marlette Police) and Jenn Hines (Hart Realty) visit us today! Our students enjoyed listening to a special book and learning more about their careers. Thanks for your reading partnership during March is Reading Month!
