"Congratulations to Marlette Jr./Sr. High School students Meridith Cox, Madelyn Lefler, and Haley Liu for being awarded the Young America's Foundation Scholarship. This scholarship was offered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation and financed by Mr. Randall Rogers. Mr. Rogers has graciously donated funds towards this scholarship the past three school years. Mr. Rogers has awarded Meridith, Madelyn, and Haley each with an all-expenses paid trip to the Reagan Ranch High School Conference in Santa Barbara, California. Congratulations Meridith, Madelyn, and Haley for earning this special scholarship, and a big THANK YOU to Mr. Rogers for offering this opportunity to the students of Marlette!"

The winners are in!!! During a Zoom meeting yesterday, the America and Me essay contest winners for 2020 were announced.
1st place: Olivia Findlay, who wrote about the undeniable positive influence of her father
2nd place: Emily Newland, who wrote about her grandmother's stamina and testimony in Emily's life
3rd place: Lily Parker, who bragged about the hunter and sportsman father in her life.
