Red Raider Football started their season with a big win over the Green Devils (39-24). Next Friday the team travels to Alcona for their week 2 match up. Great win tonight. Keep up the hard work.

FOOTBALL IS BACK- The wait is over. Tonight the Raiders host the Brown City Green Devils at 7pm. While the wait is finally over things will be different this year. To enter the facility you must have a school issued ticket and a GTC Covid Entry Form. Masks / face coverings must be worn at all times. There will be no concessions or bathrooms open - we do have porta potties. The only gate you may enter through is the main gate on the northwest side of the field. All south gates will be closed to entry. Gates open to spectators at 6:30p. The game will be broadcast on 92.5 and streamed live at www.sanilacbroadcasting.com Go Raiders!

Marlette Community Schools will hold our first fully virtual day Wednesday, September 30. All students will be expected to log in to Brightspace and work from home. Teachers will provide additional information and ensure all families are prepared ahead of time. *Preschool is open, but no buses will run. *A bus will run to and from the career center at normal times. *Red Raider Care is open for school age children, 6 am-6 pm, for $25. If your student is a virtual 7th thru 12th grade student who had their picture taken on Sept. 3rd, their ID and picture order form are available for pick up at the Jr/Sr High School office. You must wear a mask to enter the building. Please pick up your ID and order form as soon as possible.

After Miss Teressa runs part of the town route, she will return to the school to pick up Miss Amy H's out of town stops. Students may arrive home later than usual. Miss Amy H will deliver her town students prior to leaving for a trip out of town. Just a reminder that Marlette Community Schools is offering FREE breakfast and lunch to all face-to-face and virtual enrolled students until December 31, 2020 or until USDA funds are depleted. You may sign up to receive take-home meals for your virtual students Monday –Friday when school is in session. Please continue to complete free and reduced meal forms for when the lunches are no longer free. Virtual families, there is a form you can complete for free meals. Bus Route Change. We will be short a sub bus on Monday, September 14. Miss Amy (Howe)'s town students will ride Miss Amy's (Choike) bus; however her out-of-town students will be held at the school. Miss Linda will run part of her route, then return to the school to pick up Miss Amy's (H) out-of-town students. Miss Amy's (H) out-of-town students will be home later due to this change. Any parents who wish to pick their students up should contact the school offices prior to 9:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Please note: Bus changes must be communicated to school offices no later than 9 a.m. each day. Changes are limited to students' previously designated stops, that is only students assigned to bus routes may ride. Red Raider Soccer team traveled to Harbor Beach tonight and came out with another win (1-0). The team travels to Genessee Christian next Monday to take on the always tough Soldiers. Great win tonight and good luck on Monday. Keep up the hard work guys.
