Congratulations to the Marlette seniors who fulfilled the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) requirements by completing college courses during high school: Samantha Moshier, Josie Sartin, Jeremiah Canfield, Trinity Tobey, and Gretchen Steinkopf. Each of these five students earned 33 or more college credits as a high school student, which will help reduce the cost of their college education after high school.
The Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) helps students transfer 30+ college credits of core general education courses from a Michigan community college to a four-year college or university. Students may complete the MTA as part of an associate degree or as a stand-alone transfer to another college.
Marlette Community Schools has partnered with Mid Michigan College to offer dual and concurrent enrollment (college) courses to qualifying juniors and seniors under the Postsecondary Enrollment Options Act (PA 160 of 1996). Overall, there were 36 students in the Class of 2022 who earned 659 college credits.
What a great accomplishment!
